Yes, Two Posts in one Day...

I can't believe it either, but I really wanted to participate in Dawn's color challenge #15:
Don't you just love that medallion stamp from Stampin Up!
The close up... love the embossing and ribbon bow!
Stamps: SU! & PTI
Cardstock: SU & PTI
Ink: Versamark, Cream (PTI) Pink (SU)
Ribbon: SU!

Happy Birthday to Me!!!

Today is my birthday. No big plans, just a low-key day spent with my family. Actually every birthday over 25 has really been low-key, cause why in the heck would I want to celebrate getting older? Anywhooooo.... I thought I would post some cards that I made last weekend at Marisa's house.

Love this alien stamp set by Stampin Up matched by the colors of PTI and MME PP.
I purchased the tree and bird stamp from the Scrapbook expo for $2, colored it with my copics and there it is - so cute!
I made this card with a lot of patterned paper from Basic Grey, some PTI buttons, one SU Scallop punch, and two little stamps. The sentiment is from PTI, but the cute owl is from a larger Unity Stamp set that I also got from the Scrapbook Expo. This set was cling-on red rubber with about 20 really cute images. Tiffany brought the set first and then I had to go back and get it because it was so cool.
Love this Hostess Stamp Set by SU!, the ribbon is also gorgeous, but retired :-)

Hope you enjoy - off to create my mother a birthday card as her birthday is on Saturday.
Enjoy!

Scrap Challenge Update

Although I haven't posted any recent pages, I have been creating pages to go along with my weekly challenge. Here are a couple that I created a few weeks ago. I'm getting together with the girls again this weekend to attend the scrapbook expo and plan to do more scrapbooking so I should have plenty to share next week.

I absolutely love this pic, it was taken with a borrowed Cannon Digital SLR. A friend at work let me borrow her camera for a weekend to give it a test drive. Truth be told it was hard to give it back. I thought maybe I can put my little digital camera in her bag and she would never notice I switched them- but I didn't do it :-)

Although the lighting was not great as I took these pics, I love the collage of pics in this 2-page spread. The focus is on the pictures and every time I look at this page, I remember how fun the family reunion was that Saturday in July!

Additionally, here are some more cards using PTI's button stamps - they are so darn cute... and to think I wasn't even going to buy them.

Enjoy the rest of your week!

More from Girls Weekend

Here are a couple of other cards I made this past weekend. The first is a kitchy kind of card. Not my ususal style, but it looks pretty good. The other is a birthday card for a co-worker so I kept it pretty simple. This week has been pretty good as I have been on vaca and just chillaxing at the pool, shopping, and enjoying the fam. Life is good.

Have a great rest of the day Thursday.

Loving this set!!!

Buttondictive (adj) Bu-ton-dic-tive
A trait displayed by person that uses buttons on every project. Describing addiction to buttons.

Hello everyone, my name is Janie and I am buttondictive!

When PTI revealed this set I thought I wouldn't really use it much, but after all of the great samples I saw being posted, it became a have to have.... So I ordered it after my normal 15th of the month order. I love it and here are some cards I made with the set. I love how these are so cute and really take no effort at all!

I may have one or two more to display, so keep tuned. Do you have this set? Don't you just LOVE it! Tata for now.

Crafty Weekend

Another crafting weekend with the girls. Here are some projects that I made, I was actually a card making factory this weekend as I cranked out 22 cards along with a couple of other projects. Here are a couple, tune back throughout the week for more of this weekend's creations...
For these cards, I used the "Ewe" from a stamp but handwrote the Hey and bubble image. I love how whimsical these cards looks. I just slightly changed them using different ribbon and backrounds.
This card was made using an old SU! stamp borrowed from Marisa. The vase and flower image is so cute I thought it only needed some lining around it along with some copic coloring to make it really pop. I think my copic coloring/shading looks good

It's Been A While....

I haven't posted in a couple of weeks because I have been busy enjoying the summer with my family. We have had road trips, camping trips, shopping trips, etc and I've been neglecting the blog a bit - so I thought I'd start out the week with a Dawn McVey color challenge and some other cards I made from my new Mod Squad stamp set. The Melon in Dawn's circle below looks like Melon Berry, but per her instructions more of a Berry Sorbet should be used - which is what I did.
I also made a couple of other cards since I had the stamp set handy... The more I use this set the more I like it!
Supplies:
Stampin Up Cardstock, PTI Stamps and Ink, Buttons & Twine PTI, PP and some Cardstock PTI.
