Giving Cash!!

This past weekend I attended a family party for my niece. Instead of buying her a gift, we opted to give her cash... so I created a money-lope for her. This came out pretty cute so I made a few others to use the remaining portion of my patterned paper (loving this technique).

Supplies: CS and Ribbon: PTI, PP: We Are Memory, Stamp and Kiwi Grossgrain Ribbon: Stampin Up!

Ethnic Cards Please

A friend at work asked me to make a couple of "ethnic" cards for someone who is retiring and another person who will be celebrating a birthday soon. The stamp I used is probably the first stamp I ever purchased - isn't it cool! What do you think of the cards?

My protege!!!

My Daughter's Holy Communion is this weekend. We are having a small gathering of family for the ceremony and a luncheon afterwards so we needed to make some invitations last weekend. My daughter wanted to create separate samples and then vote on the best one for the invitation.
This was my invitation... I have to admit it was nice but no distinction that it was for a Holy Communion.

This was my Daughter's invitation sample - can you believe what a great job she did! Needless to say this is the invitation we went with for her Communion party. I'm so proud of Nicole's artistic ability.

Supplies for 1st card: Stamps: SU! and PTI, CS PTI

Paper Challenge

One could say I LOVE paper, patterned paper, plain cardstock, textured cardstock, vellum, and so on.... The single biggest asset in my craft room is my paper collection (SU, My Mind's Eye, PTI, SEI, Basic Grey, K & Co, American Crafts, Scenic Route, Bazzill, etc, etc, etc. I decided since I have such a plethora of paper, I would use one of my precious papers by making FULL use of at least 1 sheet in a challenge of sorts.

My friend Tiffany and her friends from work participate in a monthly challenge to use 1 piece of 12x12 patterened paper and make as many cards as possible. I decided this would be a good challenge for me to use at least one of my zillions of pieces of patterned paper.

Here are the cards I made from the piece of patterned paper above. I have to admit it felt good using all of the paper and not adding to my ever growing stash of patterned paper scraps:
Card #1 - I made 5 of these guys...

Card #2 - I made 4 of these

Card #3 - I made 4 of these babies!

A total of 13 cards from 1 sheet of patterned paper... what a good deal!

Girls Weekend!

I spent all day Saturday with my girlfriends crafting and gabbing. We had a blast as usual... I will post a few a day over this next week.

Card #1 was taken directly out of the SU catalog (all supplies SU)... looks so much better in person :-)
Card #2 was made with minimal stamping. All supplies PTI.

Card #3 was a very simple one. However, I was testing out my copic coloring skills on the water below the ice cube.
You can check out some of Tiffany's and Marisa's creations on their blog as well.

Trendy Trees

Okay, it's been a while since I actually used Stampin Up! stamps. I've been using all the new goodies I purchased from PTI, but thought it was time to get back to my SU! stamps.

Inspired by Marisa

This week I decided to pay tribute to my friend Marisa. She is a very talented crafter and does an "Inspired by" challenge on her blog where she creates projects that were inspired by everyday items.

Another friend at work and his wife had a baby girl last week. This is their third child, but their first girl. As I picked up a couple of baby items to give as a gift to them, I immediately thought of Marisa's "Inspired by" challenge and decided to follow suit...

Here is the item that inspired me....

And here is what I created... I love it, it is so adorable (if I do say so myself :-)
