Scraps

Just a quick share:

Today I've made a couple of cards from some patterned paper scraps.  I have a ton of scraps that I refuse to throw out so now I can use them for cute cards like this:

Aren't these cards simple yet very cute? All cardstock for these projects were from Amuse Studio. I especially love their chevron paper in all the various colors.

Craft Fair Products

Earlier this month my daughter's school had a vendor and craft fair to help raise money for the school.  My sister is a Partylite consultant, so she and I joined the fair to make some extra holiday cash.  Actually my daughter wanted to join the fair because she is saving up for a MacBook Pro and I told her whatever she sold in product would go to the computer.  My sister took all her candle stuff and I took the handmade cards, tags, and duct tape wallets that I have been so addicted to lately.

Overall the fair went well, I actually sold many wallets which all the kids and ladies seemed to like very much.  Here are some pictures from the event.  I still have some wallets left, so if you are interested in purchasing one, email me at janie969@yahoo.com.  I am selling the bi-fold wallets for $5 which is pretty cheap compared to many other people out there.  I will also have an etsy site soon for them and other crafts that I make (including cards and tags).   The card sets were $10 for 5 unique cards, the Money holders were $1 each or get one free with a card set purchase and the tag sets were $3 for a set of 12.   Now on to the pics....

Hope you enjoyed.  Pls. leave a comment if you like my wallets, cards, or tags.

Happy Holidays!

Friday Night Stamp Camp

Last night I held my annual holiday stamp camp (part 1).  I had 12 ladies in the camp, so I had to make projects that were cute, but not too difficult or time consuming if they wanted to get home before 4am (:-)

Here are a portion of the projects we made:

This first one was absolutely adorable and very simple, it was very little stamping which got them warmed up for the other projects.  I can't take full credit for this design as I did see it on Pinterest somewhere, however, when I tried to find the original link to post for credit, I could not.

This card is very sparkly and very elegant (more so in person).  Anyway, this card used non-traditional christmas colors, but the combination worked very well together.  Kudos to the ladies as everyone did a great job stamping these cards.

This was not a card, but rather a project that I shared.  The idea was to use your scrap pattern paper to make cute accents and ornaments, this is one of 3 non card projects we made:

Supplies: Neenah Cardstock, Stampin Up Cardstock, Amuse Cardstock, SU Color Ink, Momento Black Ink, Crystals, Prismacolor glitter, Stamps from SU, Amuse, and My Cute Stamps

I am going to try to have one more stamp camp before the end of November, so stay tuned...

Holidays on the Brain

I've started to think about the holidays and especially the cards I will make this year.  Not sure if this will be one of them, but I wanted to share a cute card I made with Amuse Studio stamps and paper.

Isn't she so cute!  All stamps are Amuse, but I hand drew the bubble around the sentiment.

Enjoy!

Supplies:  Amuse chevron pattern papper, grass color cardstock, and sugar cardstock.  Stamp Set: Amuse Tis the Season.

Do Something Creative - Week 2

Okay, I promised you a little Zebra Print last week... Well, let me tell you I have become obsessed with another craft - duck tape craft!  It started out by making a cute tote my daughter and I tried off of a YouTube Video.  There are so many cute patterns of Duck Tape I had to try these cute wallets....

I think there will be many given away at Christmas time this year (mailman, teacher, co-workers, etc)

There are a ton of videos on duct tape craft, but there is one chic who does a great job with her projects.  Her youtube name is ducttapeinaction - you have to check her out.

Hope you enjoy!  I'll be back mid-week with some Amuse Studio projects - so come back!

15 days til Halloween!

Here is a cute card I made last weekend as I was crafting with my friend Marisa.  It is using the Amuse Studio stamp set Trick or Treat.  I used Washi tape from Amuse along with a couple of other patters that I have in my washi tape drawer :-)

Supplies Used: Trick or Treat (Amuse), Washi Tape assortment (Amuse) and another brand, Momento black ink, Going Gray CS (Stampin Up).

Yes, I know it's been a while.....

Okay, it's been almost a full year since my last post - wow, I can't really believe it - but time has gone by so fast.  With the baby almost 2 years old and my daughter almost a teenager, I really have my hands full.

Nonetheless, I am going to try to post weekly from now on as I've adopted a "Do something crafty every week" mentality.  Not only because I have a ton of craft stuff that goes un-used, but because it does relieve the stress of my everyday life (work, kids, hubs, etc...).

Therefore, this week I cleaned out my storage room in the basement.  I was able to purge a lot of old stuff and set a pile for charity as well.  When going through the room I found a few packs of Stampin Up hostess envelopes size 9x13 from when I was a demonstrator.  Instead of just pitching them, I decided to recycle and give them a make-over since they were a great size for an envelope mini-ablum.

Here are the envelopes I used (they are 10 to a pack).

I then chose a pack of coordinating MME papers I purchased somewhere online a while ago.  Since I'll probably use these envelopes in some sort of mini album I wanted them all to coordinate.

After covering the front of the envelopes and mix-matching the flaps, this is how the front looks:

After completing the backside and adding a two-button closure with some twine - this is how they turned out - Absolutely Gorgeous!  The are very sturdy and can hold several pictures, receipts, notes, etc inside the envelope as well as pics and embellishments on the outside.

This was a very fun project as I was able to recycle something that was no longer useful for me to something that I will absolutely use (or give a-way). The best part is that I have 3 more packs of these envelopes to use (score!).

Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to come back next week, because I have another project that I will share - (hint, it has Zebra print!) :-)
