MFT Weekly Wed Stamp Club Challenge

Hello Everyone,

Today is a super snowy cold day in Chicago, so I decided to stay warm and play in my craft room for much of the day.  The kids are sleeping in, so I had some time to be creative this morning.  Here are some cards I made for the MFT Wed Stamp Club challenge.  I love how these cards came out and am looking forward to participating in more MFT challenges.

Here is the MFT sketch:

And here are my cards, I decided to flip them around and make them vertical:

2014 Crafting Resolutions!

Okay, I've decided to make some craft resolutions in addition to my personal resolutions for 2014.

Here they are - the big 6:

1. Don't hoard my stash - use it!  Stop not using that cute sheet of PP or fancy emblie, that's what they are there for.

2. Sell or Give away items that I no longer use or like (make room for new stuff :-)

3. Enter 4 contests throughout the year, whether random contests or card/page challenges

4. Host at least 3 Stamp Classes in my home before end of November.  They are a lot of work with my friends, but so much fun, and so worth it.

5. Post to my blog at least once a week.  My job is very demanding as well as my family, but I want to make time for my creative side, so this should be something good for me.

6. Organize my scrap room.  If I do #1 and #2, then it will make this one much easier.  Yes, it may look like a storm hit my room, but creativity is what it's all about.  I guess I could do some work on this, so I made it my last resolution.  I've already started by buying some of the fridge binz that Jennifer McGuire uses for her stamp organization -I actually love them.

Okay, with that being said - wish me luck.  We will review the above (to se where I am at) in the summer and again at the end of November.

For taking the time to hear my resolutions, I will share a card I did with the Simon Says Stamp January Card Kit for 2014.  It was similar to one of their inspiration examples, but not exactly.. anyway, here it goes:

Here is the card inspired by Shari Carroll SSS Inspiration.

Have a good weekend!

Happy 2014!

Hello.

I can't believe how fast 2013 went.  It seems as though the years are going faster and faster.  Since it is snowing here in Chicago (see Jesse shoveling snow below),

I stayed in and played with paper and stamps from my Studio Calico Jubilee Stamp kit.  It came with a great e-book for inspiration as well as cool papers, a stamp set, and embellies.

Here are the 3 cards I made so far from this kit (along with a few other of my supplies).

Hope you enjoyed these cards.  I will be posting my paper crafting resolutions in my next post.

Scraps

Just a quick share:

Today I've made a couple of cards from some patterned paper scraps.  I have a ton of scraps that I refuse to throw out so now I can use them for cute cards like this:

Aren't these cards simple yet very cute? All cardstock for these projects were from Amuse Studio. I especially love their chevron paper in all the various colors.

Craft Fair Products

Earlier this month my daughter's school had a vendor and craft fair to help raise money for the school.  My sister is a Partylite consultant, so she and I joined the fair to make some extra holiday cash.  Actually my daughter wanted to join the fair because she is saving up for a MacBook Pro and I told her whatever she sold in product would go to the computer.  My sister took all her candle stuff and I took the handmade cards, tags, and duct tape wallets that I have been so addicted to lately.

Overall the fair went well, I actually sold many wallets which all the kids and ladies seemed to like very much.  Here are some pictures from the event.  I still have some wallets left, so if you are interested in purchasing one, email me at janie969@yahoo.com.  I am selling the bi-fold wallets for $5 which is pretty cheap compared to many other people out there.  I will also have an etsy site soon for them and other crafts that I make (including cards and tags).   The card sets were $10 for 5 unique cards, the Money holders were $1 each or get one free with a card set purchase and the tag sets were $3 for a set of 12.   Now on to the pics....

Hope you enjoyed.  Pls. leave a comment if you like my wallets, cards, or tags.

Happy Holidays!
